Ginger Snaps Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cupful molasses
- 2/3 cupful shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoouful soda
- 1 tablespoonful vinegar
- 1 tablespoonful ginger
Directions
Make stiff with flour. Roll thin as possible. Cut out with cookie cutter. Pinch off a piece at a time as large as a marble. Boll in the hands. Place in the buttered pan leaving room to flatten. Bake in a moderate oven to a nice brown. Leave in the pan until cool enough to snap.
