Gherkin Sauce Recipe

Cook 1 cup stock with 2 slices salt pork diced, 1 tbsp. each onion and parsley, and 1 teasp. sugar. Add to 2 tbsps. butter and flour cooked together, add salt, pepper, Worcestershire, and lemon juice. Strain and add 1/2 cup gherkins or pickled cucumbers cut in shreds and dash nutmeg. Serve with fish.
